One thing that has lingered since our second season – in the opinion of some – has been our propensity to choose hefty books numbering in the 300 pages or more (“a quick read!” other readers interject). Our selections for this season include Barbara Kingsolver’s much-lauded Demon Copperhead, Robin Wall Kimmerer’s canonical Braiding Sweetgrass, and three fantasy novels as we discover that, with any good book, the pages do fly by as the story sucks you in.
